The Indonesian Domestic Worker (Pekerja Rumah Tangga-PRT) has been significant growth from year to year. It is due to the changing of working role of Indonesian woman and the limiting of PRT to obtain work. The growth of PRT is also followed by problems appearance in physical, psychical, sexual, economic, and social violence. There are many causes that appear the problem, such as wrong definition about working status of PRT, poorness, low of education, and ignorance of existing labor rights. In fact Indonesia has ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) through Undang-Undang (UU) Number 7/1984, but the enforcer of woman basic rights and the governmental effort are still halfheartedly. Despitefully attendance of UU Number 23/2004 about Penghapusan Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga (Abolition of Violence in Household), in its execution is still not yet maximal and have many resistances.
